It is said in the Puranas that Maharshi Angira’s elder son was Brihaspati. Brihaspati had a sister by the name of Bhuvana, who knew Brahmavidya. She gave birth to a son named Prajapati Vishwakarma, who became famous for his all-round creative skills. The creator of the entire world, the Engineer is Lord/ Bhagwan Vishwakarma. It’s also said that he created Swargalok, Hastinapur, Lanka, Dwarka, all machinery, Pushpak Viman, the kundal of Karna, Shivji’s Trishul, Lord Vishnu’s Sudarshan Chakra, and many more. In the modern-day, we know about the creation of towns, houses, flats/apartments, Temple, roads, Idols, gardens, lakes, etc. Also, the five elements or the Panchamahabhootas are very important. Just like our bodies are composed of 5 elements, similarly, our houses or Vaastu are also made up of the same elements. These 5 elements are Bhoomi/ Earth, Gagan/Space, Air/Vayu, Agni/Fire, and Neer/Water. One of The Hindi words for God is Bhagwan. And this word has all the 5 elements. 5 planets are associated with these elements, Planet Mars for Earth, Venus for water, Sun for fire, Lord Saturn for Air, and Lord Brihaspati for Space. Moon is for our mind, Mercury for Intellect. Rahu for Ego and Ketu for Moksh. Only when there is alignment between our body and Universe ,does our life become happy and peaceful. The internal and external energies should be in tandem for good happenings in our life. And, the silent witness to this is our HOME, our VAASTU.
