This holy day, Guru Purnima, we honour the people who have led us in life—our parents, teachers, spiritual masters, and the inner knowledge that stems from them.
This special occasion is for our parents:
Your first job was to teach us.
You taught us how to walk, talk, feel, and fit in.
When you were around, we learnt how to love.
We learnt how to be strong through your silence.
To our Gurus: You served as a mirror reflecting our actual selves.
You showed us that there was light in the dark, a reason for the chaos, and peace in the breath.
We don’t just say “thank you” today.
We promise to walk in truth, to live out what you’ve shown us, and to share that light with others.
Today, let’s remember that the Guru is not just a person; it’s their identity.
Let us embrace the Guru in love, in learning, in words, and in silence.
Happy Guru Purnima!
May kindness always shine on your path.
